Hotel Canne al Vento

The staff was very friendly from check-in till check-out (freeing up some space on the small parking lot for our car upon arrival, and arranging breakfast one hour earlier due to our early departure). The breakfast had plenty of options, with scramble/bacon, some cold cuts, pastries, fresh fruits etc., there was always place to seat (and we were a company of five). The location is great, not exactly in the downtown (far from noise), but close enough to the main beach (10 minutes walk), there is also a grocery store right across the street. The rooms had enough space, there was a perfectly functioning AC. Overall we had great time at Canne al Vento, can definitely recommend this place.

Charming hotel and great staff. Great communication. They reached out to us in advance and gave us wonderful directions. Our friends were arriving late and they helped us checked them in advance so that everything was smooth upon their late arrival. The location was great for us: we had a quick 5 min walk to center of town and also a similar quick (8min)walk to the marina where we took a boat ride the following day. The breakfast was amazing and the best we had so far in Sardegna. Beds were super comfortable.

Location is just perfect. 15 minutes walk from Ferry port from Bonifaccio Corsica, 8 minutes walk to town center, 5 minutes walk to the bus that takes you to other parts of Cerdegna, 10 minutes walk to a very nice beach, the wifi works very well, the restaurant has great cooking and reasonable prices, with gluten and lactose free options, the breakfast buffet is very good and they even can make you eggs any style or prepare good coffee or capuchino, there is a big supermarket in front of the hotel where you can get anything you could need, to take the boats to visit La Madalena islands is just 15 minutes walk back to the port.

Our stay was so nice, staff were very hepful, polite and friendly. The breakfast was just perfect! The location of the hotel was so practical, there were many nice restaurants in walking distance, a very big market accross the street, parking was never an issue. We could walk to Rena Bianca beach.

Santa Teresa Gallura was the final stop of a one day road trip in April from Alghero via Stintino and Castelsardo. We only spent one night at Canne al Vento and it was just the right choice we made for our accommodation. The hotel is conveniently located on the main road, across the street from a Spar Supermarket and around 10 min away from centro storico. Unless you're looking for luxury, this hotel is very fine for what you're charged. Rooms are basic but clean and with comfortable beds, no fancy interiors or travertine bathroom, just a decent option to sleep overnight while touring the upper half of Sardinia. The breakfast deserves a special mention as - given the traditional frugality of the first meal of the day in Italy - it is outstandingly diverse. I stayed in 4* hotels in large cities like Florence and the breakfast there were less impressive than the open buffet at Canne al Vento.
